1. INTRODUCTION

1.1         SAFEPASS COMMITMENT TO SAFETY

SafePass is committed to protecting the health and safety of our workers and workplaces during these unprecedented times. SafePass will continue to follow a series of industry-specific alerts from the Center for Disease Control, OSHA, WHO, and all applicable federal and local regulations designed to keep workers safe. The following guidance is followed by all SafePass personnel in order to help reduce the risk of exposure to the coronavirus:

  • Encourage workers to stay home if they are sick.
  • Allow workers to wear masks over their nose and mouth to prevent them from spreading illness.
  • Continue to use other normal control measures, including personal protective equipment (PPE), necessary to protect workers from other job hazards associated with activities.
  • Advise workers to avoid physical contact with others and direct employees/contractors/visitors to increase personal space to at least six feet, where possible.
  • Ensure all personnel are trained on how to properly put on, use/wear, and take off protective clothing and equipment, including masks.
  • Encourage respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes, even while wearing a mask.
  • Promote personal hygiene. If personnel do not have immediate access to soap and water for handwashing, SafePass will provide alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60 percent alcohol.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers should be filled regularly. Frequently-touched items (i.e., door pulls and toilet seats) should be disinfected.
  • SafePass personnel are encouraged to report any safety and health concerns.

Additionally, for any activities occurring at a customer facility or location, SafePass will coordinate directly with the primary point of contact (POC) for the facility for carrying out the SafePass procedures and any customer site-specific procedures.
